Instagram LIVE SCHEDULING is Here!

The ability to plan livestreams was just added to Instagram. The function, known as Live Scheduling, allows you to arrange your broadcast for up to 90 days in advance, with followers being able to set reminders to tune in.

Instagram says its new Live Scheduling feature will be available to creators globally. After scheduling their upcoming Live video, they’ll then be able to share that scheduled content directly to their followers through both their Stories and Feed posts. Followers can then use tools to set a reminder so they won’t miss the Live videos from their favorite creators.

How does LIVE SCHEDULING Work?

You might be asking how a "live" event can be scheduled. Consider it like booking a time slot on the calendar so that your audience is aware of the event – and you can generate more excitement for the actual event. Instagram Live Scheduling, according to Instagram, is designed to aid with the discovery and distribution of Instagram Lives. Users may now publish reminders and countdowns directly to their Instagram Stories, feed, and profile when scheduling a Live

How to SCHEDULE an INSTAGRAM LIVE:

  1. Swipe left to open the camera on the Instagram app.

  2. Swipe right from the bottom edge of the camera to select Live.

  3. On the right side of the screen, there should be a Schedule option. Choose Schedule and give the event a name in 'Video Title.'

  4. Select a date and time in the future for scheduling by clicking Start Time.

  5. Select Schedule Live Video from the drop-down menu.

  6. Users can then share the scheduled live as a post with their followers, who will also receive notifications before the event takes place.

A Live Video can be scheduled by anybody on Instagram, not just creators. While starting a Live Video on Instagram is straightforward, scheduling one for the future is just as simple. Instagram users can also include other followers in their Live videos.

What is INSTAGRAM LIVE “Practice Mode”?

Instagram has introduced "Practice Mode" in addition to Instagram Live Scheduling. Practice Mode is a fantastic addition to the Instagram Live lineup. If you've been waiting for anything like this, you're not alone.

Anyone who has done an Instagram Live, whether alone or with a guest, knows how difficult it can be — from finding the perfect lighting to ensuring a stable Internet connection. And that's only the beginning! We haven't even touched on the various types of troubleshooting that can occur throughout the broadcast.

That is, until now.

Practice Mode "allows creators to join their guests ahead of the scheduled event to test their connection, lighting, and manage any other pre-show prep that may be needed," according to TechCrunch. Being able to jump on to your Instagram Live ahead of time should hopefully alleviate any technical difficulties and make your lives easier.

Instagram Lives have become increasingly popular in recent years, and we anticipate that these new capabilities will encourage even more brands and creators to participate. So, if you've never tried Instagram Lives before, now is the time to do so.
